The Village Jewellers opened its doors in our current Manuka Village location in late 1984 under the careful eye and guidance of Stelios and Margaret Sofoulis.
The business grew steadily over the next few years and in 1986, Tony joined the business in a full time capacity after completing his Science and Gemmological studies. Tony took over from his parents in 2000 and has continued to expand and grow the business since.
Jiyoun is our newest member of The Village Goldsmith team having joined us in May 2019 to fill a void in our busy workshop.
Jiyoun previously worked in the jewellery trade in Korea and Japan for approx. 12 years and followed her family to Australia to further expand her opportunities in the jewellery trade and to be near her family.
Jiyoun has been a great addition to The Village Jewellers team, she is fluent in Korean, Japanese and English. With her skills and enthusiasm and along side Luis our existing jeweller for over 25 years the two of them are both willing and able to assist you with all your jewellery repairs, re- modelling and new creations.
